The ordinary EM Board Meeting was held in Sankt-Petersburg
The ordinary EM Board Meeting was held in Sankt-Petersburg LETI on 8.04.2021.
All Board members took part in the Meeting together with EM, INERTECH and LETI top-managers. EM Board Chairman, 1st LETI pro-rector Prof. Mikhail Kuprianov was the Meeting chair.
The Board considered and mainly approved EM activities in 1st QTR 2021: EM extension (5 new EM members), first innovative projects were approved by STC and SC, EM website was developed, 1st International Science-Industrial Consortium organization and preparing new EM innovative projects for 2021- 2023, EM representatives activities start up and drafting of new international regional projects, active support of UGATU to save juridical person status in the frame of Bashkiria universities reorganization.
The Board noted the problems with EM 1st QTR Budget realization, delay of entrance fee payments, slow formation of EM participation in actual innovative projects, unsatisfactory EM marketing activities organization, non-finalized EM Plan-2021.
The Board assigned EM Direction with Board Members participation and with support of STC and SC to resolve noted problems and to report at the next Board Meeting and at EM General Assembly.
The Board accepted information on constructive EM talks on strategic partnership organization and joining EM with: BMSTU, MPEI, ICS (Sofia), ATEAM (Chemnitz), CURTI (Italy), SMK and KazNITU (Kazakhstan), HUST (Hanoi) and PRADMAN (India).There is no feedback from BaltSystem (SPb), MIKROMAT (Dresden), Institute of Mechanics BAN (Bulgaria) and LGTU (Lipetsk) until now.
The Board approved “SMTMASH” Project and SMTMASH Working group organization as basis for EM Marketing&Engineering Division (DME) and approved SMT Ltd (www.group-smt.ru) joining EM.
The Board discussed and approved INESMASH-ACUMASH (Leader Prof. Yury Filatov) and ULTRAPRECISION- KUGMASH (Leader Dr.Eng. Valery Esov) projects development. New contracted equipment for Joint Experimental Labs in SPb and Moscow will be delivered within 2021. Also noted that no new requests for the projects financial support were finalized until now.
Due to the new innovative project “On Board Mechatronics” (OBM, Leader Dr.Eng. Vyacheslav Vavilov) organization INERTECH was recommended by the Board to take part in OBM project and to send technical assignment on new mechatronic modules- direct drives to upgrade INESMASH-ACUMASH products.
The Board assigned EM Direction with Board support to organize EM General Assembly (GA) in the end of May 2021. Invitations with GA agenda are to be sent within April.
